The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton defies stereotypes, eschewing predictable hotel restaurant fare and embracing a sophisticated menu that gracefully straddles both French and Japanese cuisine. Long viewed as one of San Francisco’s top formal dining destinations, the kitchen is directed by chef Ron Siegel who is often remembered as the first American to defeat an Iron Chef on the original Japanese TV show. We take our toques off to him for making our Top 40 list again, as he has every year since 2005.
