THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 11th Street Cafe Restaurant Review:
There's nothing fancy about this neighborhood dive, but the truck-stop fare and reasonable prices keep artist types and Heights families content. At breakfast, the café serves tried-and-true egg dishes, biscuits and gravy, grits, hash browns, short stacks and simple omelets, among which the Laredo with salsa picante, bell pepper and onion is about as exotic as it gets. With not many choices for vegetarians, the lunch menu is meat-heavy with chiliburgers, link sausage sandwiches and turkey melts. A well kept secret is 11th Street's surprisingly great homemade pizza, served or delivered after 5 p.m., one of the tastiest values in the Heights with its crispy thin crust and tangy tomato sauce.
