610 Magnolia Restaurant Review:
An intimate dining room with subdued décor provides a fine backdrop for 610 Magnolia’s artistically presented food. Chef Edward Lee has established a national reputation with appearances on "Iron Chef America" and "Texas Top Chef" and patrons are encouraged to relax and enjoy his four- or six-course prix-fixe, since the table, whether booked at 6 p.m. or 9 p.m., is yours for the evening. Polished staff makes recommendations from an outstanding (and vintage-deep) wine list, and there is the option to simply have wines paired to each course. In addition to utilizing many locally sourced ingredients, Lee has a greenhouse on the property from which the kitchen harvests produce. The menu changes weekly, but offerings have included lobster medallions with compressed watermelon and heirloom tomato, baby beets salad with house pickles, pork loin and belly with couscous, and macerated blackberries with coconut-lemongrass pudding. Wednesday is à la carte night, so you can sample the fare at a lower tariff.
