Adamae Restaurant Review:
Adamae is a stylish neighborhood restaurant from partners Paul Pruitt, Duncan Smith and Jeff Manno. The name is inspired by sculptor Ada Mae Sharpless who created the nearby Lady of the Lake statue in Echo Park. Look for a seasonal California menu with Mediterranean accents from chef Matt Cheek, featuring the likes of smoked cod fritters with red pepper jam, roasted market carrots with labneh and almond-apricot aillade, mushroom kabob with achiote-sumac glaze, pan-fried branzino, and ginger-braised lamb shank. Expect beer, wine and craft cocktails such as the Ghostwriter mixed with mezcal, pomegranate, lemon, Campari and xocalatl mole bitters.
