Chef-restaurateur Agostino Sciandri marked the tenth anniversary of his Los Angeles restaurant AGO by celebrating the opening of his Las Vegas location with business partner Robert De Niro. His desert venture features a comfortable lounge where diners can sample one-of-a-kind cocktails and an intimate dining area which includes a special “cava” room that replicates an underground wine cave. Renowned for its authentic Tuscan-style Italian fare, the trattoria offers starters such as zuppa del giorno and ravioli margherita. The risotto alla pescatora holds clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari. Pastas include the lasagna al forno and rigatoni a mano con ragù di salsiccia (fresh rigatoni, sausage ragù and pecorino cheese). Secondi ranges from vitello alla Milanese (veal chop, arugula, tomato and shaved Parmigiano) to pollo ruspante con patate (free-range chicken with roasted potatoes). Tortino caldo al cioccolate (warm Valrhona dark chocolate tortino with fig gelato) is among sweet finales.
