THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Aja Asian Bistro Restaurant Review:

Dotted with tanks of koi and highlighted by a larger-than-life Buddha statue, the front room of this West Village pan-Asian eatery is a refuge from the chaos that is Sixth Avenue, just outside its doors. The menu, which traverses all of Asia, is heavy on the sushi offerings, boasting all the usual super-fresh suspects. The ginger-glazed Vietnamese-accented pork chop is tender and prepared nicely while staples like pad thai are done with more pizzazz than elsewhere. The fried spring rolls may be overly greasy, but that’s nothing the fresh calamari salad can’t make up for.
