Al-Tarboush Restaurant Review:
This University City restaurant offers Middle Eastern food---Lebanese, to be exact---and a key part of its winning package is the owner and his family. The simple tables are often full of students and Loopsters of all ages. Usually, their dish of choice is falafel. There are other solid selections---gyros, chicken kebabs, good tabbouleh and garlicky hummus---some of which are available in a refrigerator case for eating in or taking home. Homemade sweets finish the meal. The baklava is some of the best in town, and it's yet another key reason we like this deli so much.
