Alto Ristorante e Bar Restaurant Review:

The signature dessert is the gondolino, a crispy pastry gondola dipped in chocolate, filled with berries and floating on a vanilla crème brûlée. After dinner, guests enjoy a complimentary gondola ride, complete with singing gondoliers, through a man-made river behind the resort. Sensing a theme? Alto is molto Italian, from the dedicated salumi room in the corner of the race car sleek restaurant, to the handcrafted pastas like a crab campanelle, the truffled polenta that accompanies the veal saltimbocca, and the homemade limoncello that puts a pleasant burn in your belly and an even pleasanter burn in your brain. But it’s not shtick: this stuff is rustic but primo, down to the attentive, friendly servers who know the menu so well that they practically savor the specials as they announce them. The wine list is well thought out and naturally focuses on a vast selection of Italian favorites.
