Whether this is a case of Vermont on the Potomac or not, this pizza place, a copy of the Vermont original, really rocks. When management says “all natural” and “hand-crafted” and it makes an effort to use the best artisanal products, that message carries through from the moment you sit down and sip on the freshly squeezed juices and fork into the Evolution salad composed of organic greens. Or maybe American Flatbread is the harbinger of good things to come in this age of going green. All we know is that the generous-size pizzas, cut into odd-shaped pieces and not the typical wedges, are wood-fired and fresh; we recommend the sausage-topped pie, but you probably can't go wrong with anything you order.
