Anepalco Restaurant Review:

Anepalco's Cafe is an elegant, earth-toned space tucked inside the ALO Hotel about a block south of Angel Stadium. Chef/owner Daniel Godinez ensures that his unique blend of Mexican cuisine with French influences is as tasty as that at the original establishment in the Orange Circle. The dinner menu is full of playful items that highlight this unique culinary synergy, from starters such as aguachile with shrimp, avocado and oranges to progressive fare like deconstructed pork belly tacos. For mains, we recommend the chicken mole with queso fresco and tortilla dust or the tender arrachera steak by a side of chilaquiles. Lunchtime crowds will find an eclectic array of sandwiches and tacos. While some may gravitate toward the small but interesting list of craft beers, wine lovers might want to explore the sturdy catalogue of Mexican labels. The restaurant presents brunch service offering omelets and classic Mexican breakfast items. Also located at 415 S. Main St., Orange, 714-771-2333.
