THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Angelique Cafe Restaurant Review:
Loyal patrons descend on the triangular retail island in the Fashion District for country French cuisine. A small outdoor patio offers great views of surrounding towers and passing stylistas. Lyonnaise chef Vincent Perraud executes owner John Choy’s vision. There are plenty of French classics, including a textbook Niçoise salad with seared ahi, hard-boiled egg, crisp green beans, shaved red onions, olives, pungent anchovies and firm potatoes. You’ll also find quiche Lorraine, croque monsieurs and escargots. If you prefer something spicier, order the merguez sandwich with harissa, tomato and onion. At breakfast, Angelique offers crêpes salées (savory) or sucrées (sweet), omelets and croissants.
