Antico Posto Restaurant Review:
Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises knows how to run restaurants where volume is critical; this is no exception. Tucked in the middle of Oak Brook’s main outdoor mall, the pleasantly rustic trattoria, with dark wood floors, a cozy bar and bucolic Tuscan murals offers shoppers a little respite to enjoy Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a brick oven. Not to be overlooked are the handmade pastas, particularly the tender ricotta gnocchi with mushrooms tossed in brown butter and truffle oil. Multi-size wine glasses cater to a wider variety of dining experiences, from casual lunches to weeknight dinners. The happy hour special on Mondays to Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. can't be beat; score select red and white wine pours plus appetizers such as chicken meatballs and caprese salad for just $5 each. Desserts in mini form, like moist sponge cake with tart cherries, bring meals to a sweet close.
