Apple Farm Restaurant Review:
Yes, it’s kitschy, but beneath all the country cute is a menu based on seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And don’t forget to take a peek at the tempting bakery case. Hearty morning meals include all the usual suspects, plus options such as a goat cheese omelet. Lunch and dinner offer retro comfort food like patty melts and pot roast, but you’ll also find house-made Meyer lemon and ricotta ravioli, a Calexico burger with queso fresco, and osso buco ragoût served with baby kale. For dessert, target one of the seasonal pies or the bread pudding served with pears and brandy. The bountiful brunch includes both a hot entrée and a cold buffet. Beer and wine are available, and corkage is waived for local labels.
