Applebee's is your all-American joint. “No brussels sprouts or lima beans,” they promise. Instead, it’s good, simple food like juicy burgers, grilled chicken Caesar and fajitas. They also make a tart (and cheap) margarita. Mammoth desserts for sweet-lovers include a sizzling apple pie or the triple chocolate meltdown, complete with artistic chocolate sauce flourishes drizzled on top.
