This Greektown restaurant and bakery bypasses flaming cheese in favor of homey Mediterranean deli fare with an emphasis on Greek flavors and home-baked goodies. Look for dishes like roast leg of lamb with oregano, mint and rosemary aïoli; oven-braised beef with orzo, red wine tomato sauce and kasseri and mizithra cheeses; and youvetsi, a traditional Greek casserole with lamb and orzo. For lighter fare, try the Mediterranean salad or a wood-fired-oven pizza with Mediterranean and Greek-inspired toppings. Also, don’t miss the Greek breads, pastries and cakes from the bakery. Head to the loft dining area for good people-watching.
