Athos
518-608-6400
Authentic Greek cuisine with an emphasis on fresh fish.
Athos Restaurant Review:
This cozy restaurant in a suburb of Albany offers classic Greek dishes such as dolmathes (stuffed grapes leaves), moussaka (roasted eggplant with potatoes and seasoned ground beef baked in a béchamel sauce) and baklava. But there’s much more to explore on this menu. Stop by after work for drinks and the pikilia (assortment) of Greek spreads then try the grilled octopus or one of several grilled whole fish offered daily. If you’re not in a seafood mood, the arni youvetsi (lamb, orzo and tomatoes cooked in a traditional clay pot) is a flavorful choice.
