Travelers know that snacks are some of the best culinary experiences, like noodles off a cart in Thailand, ice cream in the old city of Copenhagen or falafel across from the main bus station in Tel Aviv. It’s a struggle to match those tasty memories in restaurants back home, but Atilla’s comes close, serving up gyros, falafel and other Middle Eastern quick bites. The atmosphere can’t compare to the blasting sun and chaos at the Tel Aviv bus station, and you won’t find those terrific pickles, but the pocket bread is wonderful and the hot sauce will remind you of faraway places.
