Au 41 Penthièvre Restaurant Review:
This chic bistro near the Champs-Élysées is presided over by a serious team. Owner Alexandre Lallemode and chef Alain Carrère have previously worked at Le Violon d’Ingres from Christian Constant. Expect refined fare with stiff yet justified prices. Among the signature dishes, the pomme darphin (potato cake coated with salmon fillets and surrounded by avruga caviar that pops in the mouth) is a treat for the palate. There are also interesting daily specials, like the well-cooked turbot with pan-seared vegetables. Finish off the meal with the strawberry tart or the frozen vacherin with chestnut and clementine cream.
