Agora Restaurant Review:
This thriving spot in the Dupont Circle area offers a diverse menu that blends Greek and Turkish fare. You won’t find most of Agora’s dishes elsewhere, and that makes it a draw for the culinary adventurer. Be sure to order the likes of grilled octopus, zesty with cilantro; pan-seared sheep’s milk cheese with fig jam; and grilled lamb chops or grilled quail. For the final touch to a meal, try the wood-fired pide (or pita) topped with spicy Turkish sausage. Lunch and brunch menus are shorter than the evening repast, but for the latter you can find Turkish and American treats, including french toast and a feta cheese omelet. Renowned for its list of anise-flavored Turkish raki, Agora may just fill your need for exotic eats in midtown DC. The restaurant also has a well-stocked bar.
