Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club Restaurant Review:

Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club operates on the principle that everything tastes better when it's eaten outside. Whenever possible, the restaurant provides a sun-drenched deck overlooking the ship canal for relaxed margarita-sipping and more. If open tables are hard to find, why not rent a kayak and work up an appetite for traditional Mexican fare while you wait? The menu is packed with crowd-pleasers such as tacos, massive burritos and tamales, made with mostly organic ingredients. Be sure to check out the house specialties, which often take interesting detours. On the side, try the chili mashed potatoes, a green rice that earns vibrant color from Swiss chard, or the nicely dressed red cabbage slaw spiked with dried cranberries. But don't come here if you're in a hurry because service can be sluggish.
