Claude Bosi at Bibendum Restaurant Review:
The light, airy first-floor dining room, with its stained glass windows featuring Monsieur Bibendum, remains one of London’s most enjoyable settings, while the cooking is under the guiding hand of Claude Bosi. Dishes change daily on the lunch menu and it is no idle boast that they contain the freshest seasonal ingredients. You might encounter Scottish lobster in Singaporean pepper sauce or Brittany rabbit with langoustine and artichoke barigoule. And for the faithful, there’s always the classic roast chicken with tarragon. Desserts might include a black forest soufflé or English blackberries and blackcurrants with caramelized pistachio sponge. The wine list is notable to match the experience. Sunday lunch £33. Surprise tasting menu (available lunch and dinner): 6 courses £120, 6 wines to accompany £85.
