The Bottle Inn Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Silvio Petoletti has been managing this cozy Italian restaurant by the sea since the early 1970s, and he knows exactly what his mainly local crowd likes. The rustic Northern Italian menu changes just enough to keep guests interested, and the vast wine list and charming setting do not change.
Food & Drinks: Look for starters such as crispy fried artichokes in a white wine-balsamic sauce, charbroiled polenta in a chunky tomato sauce, and traditional beef carpaccio. Pastas are often unapologetically rich, with choices like risotto with filet mignon and rigatoni with four cheeses. Entrées include cioppino, scallops and abalone in white wine sauce, veal osso buco, and several chicken options. For dessert, try the chocolate soufflé or the cannoli. Occasional wine dinners bring in a younger demographic. There is seating for ten in the wine cellar, by special request. The outdoor patio is perfect for sunset dining or on sunny afternoons.
