The Capital Grille Restaurant Review:
Alcoves circle the main dining room in this handsome restaurant, which has several choices of ambience. Massive portions of food are served with views of the Strip, in private rooms, in the bustling lounge and at the lively bar. Dark woods and soft lighting enhance the mood, and wine storage lockers are available for aficionados. For starters, the savory lobster and crab cakes with sweet corn relish are a nice taste of the carefully crafted seafood offerings. Among lunch sandwiches are the rib-eye with caramelized onions and Havarti cheese, and the Grille's signature cheeseburger, which blends chopped sirloin, bacon and sweet onion. Broiled fresh lobsters and double-cut lamb chops are winners. Among dry-aged steaks are a 22-ounce, porcini-rubbed Delmonico with a drizzle of 12-year-old balsamic, and steak au poivre with Courvoisier cream sauce. Equally hearty side dishes include Parmesan truffle fries and creamy spinach. Flourless chocolate-espresso cake topped with berries and whipped cream is a sweet finale. The wine list is extensive, while the "Stoli Doli" signature martini is so named for the Dole pineapple infused in the vodka for at least 10 days.
