Chez TJ Restaurant Review:
Opened in 1982, this formal French destination restaurant from George Aviet is known for its long history of fine chefs (Bruno Chemel and Christopher Kostow among them). Housed inside an 1894 Victorian, the dining room features roomy tables adorned with hand-blown glass. Two frequently changing tasting menus from current chef Jarad Gallagher feature optional wine pairings from sommelier James La Mar: the seven-course seasonal menu composed with ingredients sourced from within 100 miles of the restaurant, and the even more indulgent 12-14-course chef's tasting menu. The wine list traverses the globe from France and Germany to Oregon and California. Service is polished but not intrusive.
