You can smell the aroma of smoked pork at least a block away from Cozy Corner, a no-frills barbecue shop tucked into a rundown corner on the edge of downtown. It is well-loved by locals for its 'cue, but the classic bologna sandwich, with an unexpectedly thick slab of bologna, is also a huge hit. Tangy barbecued pork shoulder and ribs are prepared in a glowing fire pit. Customers return again and again for the barbecue Cornish game hen; you get a whole bird, and this smoky, spicy creature is topnotch. There's no alcohol served at Cozy Corner, and desserts are limited to banana pudding and sweet potato pie.
