Douro Restaurant Bar’s innovative Mediterranean and Portuguese menu features classic offerings as well as subtly different takes on tapas standards. Small plates include crispy codfish and potato fritters and hush puppies with Portuguese game sausage and rosemary panko crumbs served with roasted pepper aïoli. Paellas are the restaurant's specialty; the Brazilian shrimp variety with pulled chicken, chourico, peas and spare rib bites, as well as black beans, cumin and cilantro slow-cooked with saffron rice is a perfect representation of the kitchen’s culinary expertise. The wine list, featuring regional reds and whites, works well with the menu. Try one of the light white wines with the chicken and seafood, and opt for a bolder red to enhance the more robust dishes. Finish with affogato.
