Eggspectation Restaurant Review:

While most chain restaurants usually wind up serving uninspired classics prepared with sub-par ingredients, Eggspectation rises well above the standard and goes the extra mile. The majority of Montréal breakfast restaurants are only open until 3 p.m., but this eatery is open until 5 p.m., offering a full lunch menu as well as a small wine list, and an assortment of coffees and drinks. The signature Eggspectation breakfast includes a three egg omelet with mushrooms, onions, green and red peppers, bacon, sausage and ham served with grilled potatoes and chef's fruit garnish. Fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices are available as well as an array of smoothies. The dishes are inventive, with items inspired by French, Italian and Tex-Mex cuisines to supplement the traditional breakfast options. The décor is fresh and modern with plenty of dark wood, brass and an open-style kitchen.
