Elevage Restaurant Review:
Located in the Epicurean Hotel, Elevage reflects nostalgia, but in a hip setting with wide windows and lots of light. As a hotel restaurant, Elevage serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The somewhat limited menu is broken up into categories, Nostalgic, Nouveau and so on. Dinner brings "Liver & Onions" that gets a sly reinvention with seared foie gras, onion pierogi and a bourbon gastrique. And there's an homage to Bern's with a pressed steak sandwich that features alpine cheeses and a French onion au jus, served with onion rings. The wine cellar, drawn from the onsite wine shop, averages around a hundred labels. Frequently changing desserts always include something chocolate. Service is attentive. Head to the hip rooftop bar for a post-prandial cocktail.
