About the restaurant: FIG, the restaurant in Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, is named after the Moreton Bay fig tree that is the centerpiece of the beautiful courtyard at the hotel's entrance. The space encompasses several different areas, including a private room, pewter bar and a dining room with sliding doors that open up to the terrace (with a few desirable tables) and the pool and gardens just beyond.
Food & Drinks: Overseeing the kitchen is executive chef Jason Prendergast. The bistro menu incorporates locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Expect mainstays such as the Maine lobster Cobb salad and Mary's roasted chicken. Guests will also find pastas, steak frites, pizzas and wood oven roasted dishes. Desserts keep it simple with fruit crumble and chocolate chip cookies. Beverage-wise, there's an interesting wine list, along with local beers on draft and classic and original cocktails.
