Fuji Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Sit at the sushi bar for the best view in the house and order chef Matt Ito’s omakase experience, priced from $60 for the chef's selection of elegant seafood. You may savor Kumamoto oysters with a special soy mignonette, live scallop with truffle oil and black caviar, or sliced abalone sushi crowned with a sliver of abalone liver. Reserve a table in the 60-seat dining room and feast on pristine sushi, interesting maki rolls (try the inside out tropical roll with mango and crab meat) or any of the hot dishes, from shabu-shabu for two cooked tableside to a rich miso black cod. Grilled Kobe strip steak on a hot stone will satisfy the red meat eaters in the group. Stay traditional with dessert and enjoy sweet red beans and condensed milk over shaved ice. It is BYO, so splurge on a first-rate saké --- Sempuku Kura is a good choice --- a spicy Riesling or your favorite Belgian beer.
