Johnnie Gabriel redefines the full-service restaurant, beginning with breakfast at 7 a.m. Sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches or low-fat yogurt? The choice is yours. Lunch brings out house-made soups and deli sandwiches featuring Boar’s Head meats. At night it's time for Southern classics, from country-fried steak to buttermilk fried chicken, and salmon cakes to lots of vegetables. If the Italian cream cake is available, make sure to have a slice for dessert, although choosing among all the selections is difficult. The cakes are famous, and Gabriel’s does a lot of wedding cake business.
