The Galley Seafood Grill & Bar might lure you in with its waterfront view, but it will also reel you in with its fresh seafood (and warm bread rolls). This is a place that believes less is more, so expect straightforward dishes that are seared, steamed and grilled. When the fish gets a little more treatment, as in the blackened or fried selections, it’s still not heavy-handed. Go-to meals include the pan-seared scallops, crab cakes with a Caesar salad, or any of the specials with locally caught seafood, such as pistachio-crusted halibut. The Galley also does a good job with its few meat dishes, especially the herbed flat-iron steak. Desserts might include a rum cake or house-made apple pie. The Galley’s sommelier has selected a good wine list with a wide selection of locals and imports, half bottles and wines-by-the-glass, plus there are a couple microbrews on tap.
