Gelatiamo owner Maria Coassin, who hails from Northern Italy and comes from a family of bakers, offers a casual menu including sandwiches, gelato cakes and tasty butter cookies in whimsical shapes. The downtown location of this little café is convenient for a midday scoop break or pre-symphony dessert. In warm weather, the shop's sidewalk tables are a great place to people-watch while savoring icy treats. Torta gelatos (layers of gelato and Italian sponge cake soaked in rum) are frequently ordered to-go for special occasions.
