Goldfinch Tavern Restaurant Review:
Restaurateur Ethan Stowell's style meets Four Seasons' luxury in Goldfinch Tavern’s spacious setting. The room features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic waterfront views. Expect standard hotel-restaurant dishes sparked by quality ingredients and a tinge of Pacific Northwest flavor. Raw bar selections bring out Seattle’s notable seafood, and even the burger shows its local color: it’s topped with Beecher’s cheese, which is made just up the street at Pike Place Market. Offerings skew casual, but fine steaks are highlighted. Desserts present individual options and shared-style possibilities, such as donut holes with bourbon caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. Cocktails are creative and eclectic, tinged with Italian liqueurs. The long and varied wine list has a Pacific Northwest focus, staying partially true to the “tavern” portion of the restaurant's name with approachable bottles, and also linking to the Four Seasons brand with wines to tempt aficionados with big budgets to match their big tastes.
