Grand Banks Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: If you're reading this any time between November and March, chances are this docked-boat restaurant and drinking spot at Pier 25 in TriBeCa is closed. But in the warm weather months, Grand Banks always feels like the place to be. Expect a line when the weather is particularly nice (only a limited amount of reservations are available).
Food & Drinks: It's all about the boat; people don't really come here for the food. While the offerings from the kitchen are quite edible, the menu is short, featuring a selection of very good raw oysters as well as ceviche spiked with habanero and a satisfying lobster roll. Berries with vanilla mascarpone and honeyed waffle cookies provide a sweet ending. Cocktails aren't cheap, but you're paying to be on the boat, and the wine list is heavy on the whites.
