The Grove Cafe & Market Restaurant Review:

The Grove looks like a cross between an airy art gallery and a country farmhouse---and it serves food to match, at once artisanal, local and largely organic. As familiar as all that might sound to visiting city slickers, it’s still a rarity in meat-and-potatoes (okay, -tortillas) Albuquerque. Gourmet sandwiches are its stock in trade, and though they’re not especially original---think croque monsieurs, BLTs, and cold roast beef---they’re prepared with quality ingredients, right down to the bread, that make them seem new. Salads, soups and baked goods round out the lunch menu, paired with coffee drinks or a small selection of wine and beer. An even simpler all-day breakfast menu features topnotch house-made English muffins---which you can take home by the half-dozen, along with the boutique pantry staples and kitchen accessories on display in the on-site market. Be sure to grab a few cupcakes and macarons in nifty flavors like passion fruit and lavender-lemon, too.
