Harry Caray's Restaurant Review:
Beloved Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray may have passed away, but he's not forgotten. His multi-room restaurant-bar is still a gathering ground for fans of baseball and solid, steakhouse-type food and drinks. The place is loaded with ballpark memorabilia, which spurs gawkers to, well, gawk. The food doesn't quite get the same rapt attention, but when it comes to robust, meat-forward Italian fare, this is a safe haven. Besides, the shrimp cocktail is a thing of great worth. Expect steaks, Italian standards such as pasta and chicken Parm, and a decent seafood selection as well as veal chops as big as a first baseman's mitt, all served in a clubby, masculine setting. Also located at 10233 W. Higgins Rd., Rosemont, 847-699-1200; and 70 Yorktown Shopping Center, Lombard, 630-953-3400.
