Inn at Langley's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Chef Matt Costello’s seasonally inspired six-course prix-fixe menu is reason to make the trip to Whidbey Island. You don’t have to stay at the lovely Inn at Langley where the restaurant is located, but it’s an enticing option. You can sit at the ten-seat communal table that offers the best view of the kitchen --- where you’ll see local ingredients transformed into Northwest cuisine --- or request an intimate private table by the fire or near the windows. The menu might feature line-caught cod with a bacon emulsion or Anderson Ranch lamb. Potato gnocchi with fresh squash blossoms and summer truffles is a standout. Sweet finishes could include an apricot semifreddo or sweet goat cheese with a whey biscuit and strawberries. The wine cellar shows depth and breadth in Northwest labels.
