La Crêperie Restaurant Review:
Tucked into an alley on Providence's East Side, just off quirky Thayer Street, La Crêperie is a student hangout from morning to night. The ambience amounts to a few rickety tables, a counter with stools and a couple of random Art Nouveau prints. But what the eatery lacks in sophistication it more than makes up for with the zest of its folded crêpes, Belgian waffles and sandwich wraps: all made to order. The slightly garlicky "Josephine" crêpe combines diced chicken, cheddar, quartered mushrooms and béchamel. The Racquel --- named for the owner’s daughter --- is filled with baby spinach, Brie and cranberries. Each is filling enough for a meal. But you'll still want to finish with a dessert crêpe like the cinnamon-apple "Nori." Add a fruit smoothie on the side, and you’ve got a healthy, tasty meal.
