La Sirene de la Mer, Ville Mont Royal, canada

La Sirene de la Mer Restaurant Review:

This Ville Mont-Royal eatery combines a fresh seafood market with the Lebanese tradition of cooking the day's catch. Customers can go right to the counter to select seafood from an extensive display that includes salmon, sole, sea bass, swordfish, tuna, cod, frogs’ legs, octopus, squid, shrimp and mussels. Diners can then proceed to the luminous Mediterranean-themed salon to enjoy traditional Lebanese specialties such as hummus, baba ghanouj, kaftas, falafel, tabbouleh and fattoush while they wait for their main dish to be prepared. Those not opting for fish may choose chicken or lamb specialties in the form of kebabs, taouk (a kind of Mediterranean chicken sandwich) and chops. Combinations of meats and fish are also available, as well as the table d’hôte from Monday to Friday only. The wine list is extensive and varied in terms of price and selection. Service is courteous and knowledgeable.
