Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review:
Lazy Dog graciously fills a niche in the OC restaurant scene, offering quality family dining in a casual setting and at reasonable prices. The spacious interior features rustic woods and a full bar with several plasma TVs for watching whatever game may be on at the moment. While the bar is a good place to grab a strong cocktail, beer snobs will appreciate the list of exclusive in-house brews specially created by L.A.'s Golden Road Brewing. Chef Gabriel Caliendo has created an eclectic menu full of globally inspired dishes, and all of them work quite well. Start with the hummus dip duo or onion ring poutine, or share a jar of the palate-opening Hawaiian ahi poke. The entrée list includes everything from burgers and oven-baked pizzas to international noodle dishes and Prime steaks. At meal’s end, splurge on the butter cake or the rather large family s'more. If you have your own dog, you're in luck, as canines are welcome on the outdoor patio, where they'll find easily accessible water bowls.
