THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lola Restaurant Review:
In Cleveland’s bustling East Fourth Street entertainment district, Michael Symon’s Lola offers curious concoctions as tasty as they are buzzworthy. While the atmosphere is quietly elegant, the food is anything but. A handful of signature dishes require sampling: Lola fries and the beef cheek pierogi, which are drizzled with dark, rich wild mushroom gravy and horseradish crème fraîche. Other can’t-go-wrong options include the salmon with peas, leeks and lemon as well as the lamb loin with artichokes and chanterelles. Specials change frequently and feature an array of local, seasonal and sustainable possibilities. For dessert, we suggest the s’mores, which is a nostalgic deconstruction of the fireside treat. Beyond the food, Lola has an extensive wine list with more than 400 selections and approachable "wine managers" to help navigate the bottles.
