Marisol at The Cliffs Resort Restaurant Review:
Lively Marisol is the restaurant for a busy beachfront resort, and also a popular locals’ destination for sports, weekday happy hours and Sunday brunch. Service can be a bit spotty, but the ocean views from inside and out are hard to beat. Chilaquiles and eggs Benedict are breakfast favorites, and the seafood/south-of-the-border emphasis for brunch is a fun change. For lunch, tuck into a chopped Cobb or a very respectable burger with chipotle aïoli. At dinner, look for seafood dishes such as local salmon layered with potatoes or rainbow trout served with basmati rice. House-made desserts usually include a treatment of seasonal fruit, be it a sorbet or a custard tart. The full bar has a couple microbrews on tap, and the wine list offers Central Coast producers and a few imports.
