Mi Piace Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: One of the earliest arrivals to Old Town Pasadena decades ago, this restaurant remains one of the most popular. The white-on-white dining room has contemporary good looks. For people-watchers, tables spill out onto the busy Colorado Boulevard sidewalk.
Food & Drinks: Much of the menu is planted comfortably in the past, with dishes like fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti carbonara and veal Marsala providing cover for conservative diners. Most of the pastas, salads and Italian entrées are well prepared, but frequently uninspired. Crisp-crusted New York-style pizzas are topped with the likes of pepperoni and mushrooms, and an extensive repertoire of desserts is first-rate. There’s plenty of bubbly to choose from, some rare vintages and many wines available by the glass.
