Night + Market Restaurant Review:

This casual Thai street-food concept is both funky and charming. A décor of orange paint, makeshift wood tables and faux trees feels out of place with what is served on the plate, but after a few bites, chef Kris Yenbamroong's talents make the ambience secondary. Make sure to order the whole fish dish (branzino in our case), deep-fried and accented with a sauce of garlic, palm sugar and chile. Noodle and rice selections are just as avant-garde as the rest of the menu. Several dishes have remained from sister-restaurant Talesai, including "Hidden Treasures" (shrimp, crab meat and baby octopus baked with chilies and coconut). One of the drier whites from the eclectic wine list will pair well with the food. For dessert, consider homemade coconut ice cream or mango and coconut rice.
