Panevino Italian Grille Restaurant Review:
This restaurant’s curved wall-to-wall picture window framing a view of the Strip makes a fine first impression. Next comes the display of 3,000 bottles of wine in glass-enclosed black cylinders just inside the entrance. Custom-crafted red travertine walls, stone floors and sparkling glass tiles were imported from Italy. Patrons vie to sit at the 12-seat chef’s table facing the open kitchen. Among antipasti, we like the calamari and shrimp in a spicy fresh tomato sauce and the sautéed prosciutto, mozzarella and eggplant rolls. Beef carpaccio with arugula, baby artichokes, celery and shaved Parmigiano is another winner. Imaginative pizzas prepared in a wood-fired oven are served on the lunch menu. Among pastas, try the four-cheese ravioli --- ricotta, provolone, Gorgonzola and mozzarella --- in a creamy vodka-tomato sauce with homemade Italian sausage. Braised osso buco arrives on a bed of saffron risotto. Chocolate truffle mousse cake is worth the splurge, as are the tiramisu and crème brûlée. Plant-based vegan menus are offered for lunch and dinner.
