Parker's Lighthouse Restaurant Review:

Located in Shoreline Village, a touristy collection of harbor-oriented shops and eateries, this three-story space boasts an actual working lighthouse. It offers views of Long Beach Harbor (including its neighbor, the Queen Mary) from the cavernous dining room, outdoor patio and lively bar. The emphasis is on seafood --- there is a section of the menu devoted to a rotation of mesquite-grilled fish --- but you can also order steaks and chicken dishes. As you might expect from the theme concept, this is not gourmet fare, but you can find enjoyment in simple pleasures, such as a tasty rendition of oysters Rockefeller, a bucket of steamed clams, and fish ‘n’ chips. For dessert, the Key lime pie is a popular choice. Regulars like to drop by to imbibe specialty drinks such as the Cadillac margarita and Long Beach iced tea, and regional and imported beers to accompany bar menu items like sushi, fish tacos and ahi sliders. The wine list is a pleasant surprise that features globally inspired and attractively priced options culled from the venue’s two-story wine cellar.
