Reginelli's Pizzeria Restaurant Review:
To many New Orleanians, the first name in pizza is Reginelli’s, famous for its thick, flavorful crusts, imaginative topping combinations and weekly specials, all drawing crowds. Monday and Tuesday nights’ $2 pitchers of Abita beer make a pizza night extra appealing. A typical specialty pie is lavished with pesto sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted red peppers. The fillings for two-fisted grilled focaccia sandwiches are our favorites: slices of chicken roasted with rosemary, daubed with goat cheese and fresh spinach. For those trying to watch waistlines, Reginelli’s also offers its “Eat Fit” menu, featuring items such as chicken pita sandwiches, asparagus and avocado salads and several hummus selections. Baked pasta dishes and calzone round out the menu. Desserts vary, so ask what’s on tap for the day. In addition to beer, a number of wines are available, with a focus on Italian varietals.
