Skip's Restaurant Review:

A Chicago native, Leo “Skip” Shababy founded Skip’s in 1979. Go for a grilled Polish sausage (including one all-beef version) with grilled onions and a choice of trimmings (all sausages hail from Chicago). We're partial to the mild Italian sausage with grilled peppers and onions as well. A 12-ounce bowl of chili on a cold day is hard to beat. Burgers are juicy and flavorful, and bargain priced at that. Thick milkshakes top off this classic casual dining experience. The seemingly pre-Depression prices include tax and keep the place filled, as the quality-cost ratio is impressive. There's a drive-through if you're in a mega hurry, and we predict that if you get the burger ($4 with cheese) you'll never revisit a certain famous national chain. No alcohol.
