THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sorrel Urban Bistro Restaurant Review:
Restaurateur Ray Salti’s Sorrel Urban Bistro offers creative farm-to-table food via a menu that changes weekly based on what the chefs source from local farmers markets. Dishes have included lamb lollipops (small Frenched chops with wild mushrooms in a demi glaze) and steak frites with roasted garlic. Power lunches are a value (under $20) that start with soup or salad and range from vegetarian risotto to cold-water lobster cakes and end with a fine dessert. Order a bottle of wine --- the back wine wall holds 1,000 bottles, of which many are organic --- or a glass of the local Vintners Own on tap. Dinner items run from such seasonal delights as cider-braised rabbit to trout stuffed with spicy Spanish chorizo. The weekend brunch line-up also changes, but if the slow-braised brisket with potato hash finished with two fried farm eggs make an appearance, don't pass it by. Consider ice creams from local Cloud 10 Creamery for dessert.
